In a minute, I’ll share with you some of the goals I had for 2018.
But it was a great year… which was GREATLY influenced by a process I think will really help you in 2019.
I’ve decided to share a lot of what I learned on Saturday December 1st from 9:30am – 12:30pm during an exclusive, in person, 3-hr workshop. (more on this below)
So here’s the backstory…
Years ago, I set my goals with “good feelings” and because it was something that I thought I wanted at the time. The problem is, I would only make “marginal” progress. And it was really frustrating.
You know what I’m talking about, right?
I would make a “goal list.” And as I was making the list, everything seemed within reach (as long as I “buckled down” and followed the plan).
BTW – I have no idea where I thought this magical surge of “discipline” would come from to accomplish everything I had on my list!
I don’t know about you, but for me, without fail, “life” would seem to get in the way.
“Tomorrow” would become “on Monday.” “Monday” would soon become “tomorrow” again.
And now with a business to run, there’s a whole lot more “life” to manage… you know what I’m saying?
I’d get to the last couple of months each year and realize that there was no possible way I would be able to reach all of my goals.
I’d get discouraged.
I’d be grumpy.
I definitely wasn’t motivated to “do more”.
And worst of all, it had me dreading the upcoming year. I’d look at what I wanted to do and what I actually accomplished. And there was a HUGE gap.
It felt like I was falling further and further behind where I wanted to be.
And it wasn’t particularly good for an entrepreneur whose livelihood depended on reaching my goals.
So a few years ago I had a unique opportunity.
I was introduced to a new approach for setting and ACHIEVING goals that matter.
Of course, things didn’t “instantly” change.
But here’s what I do know…
Every year since, I’ve followed this process and my results have gotten better and better.
And now that my clients are using this same process, they’re reaching their goals more and more consistently and finally checking them off of their list.
And as you’ll hear, “discipline” (or lack there of) had little to do with why I wasn’t getting results.
It’s not about “will power” either.
It had EVERYTHING to do with an outdated process.
One of the many “tricks” that I learned was to keep my goals front and centre.
Looking at that list, you’ll notice a mix of both personal and business goals.
So how did I do in 2018?
Of the 6 goals I set for myself, I accomplished 4 of them.
- Increase my monthly gross income
- Balance my hormones
- Work on my gut health
- Have a holiday with my love
- Plan our wedding and pick a date
- Spend more 1-1 time with close friends
One of those 2 goals that I didn’t achieve became obsolete part way through the year (which as I learned, is totally fine).
Another goal I am VERY close to hitting but will slightly miss.
Overall, I’m really pleased. It’s been a great year and I’ve seen some MAJOR breakthroughs.
And most importantly, I was able to do this while deepening my relationship with my friends, family, clients, and the people that mean most to me.
Here’s the takeaway…
Compared to previous years, I have SO much more momentum going into the New Year.
That leads to more confidence, more momentum.
Which leads to more growth and better results.
It’s the circle of awesomeness 🙂
And each year, it gets better.
And I want that for you.
That’s why I’m holding this exclusive in-person workshop on Saturday December 1st from 9:30am – 12:30pm called: “Vision Boarding with Clarity, Intention & Power: 2019 Edition”
The only “bad news” is that after 15 seats are filled, the workshop will no longer be available.
These 3 hours have the potential to change EVERYTHING for you in 2019…so be sure to secure your spot and make it your best year ever!!
