Elate Cosmetics is a toxin-free, cruelty-free, vegan, and sustainable cosmetics company founded in Victoria, BC. Elate Cosmetics was born out of the desire to see a difference in the cosmetics industry. Our mission is to care for each other, our community, and our world. Through healthy ingredients, sustainable practices, and wellness minded goals, we strive to build confidence through kindness, and allow you to create your own definition of beauty.
We talk a lot about conscious beauty and the meaning behind it. Conscious beauty means that no animal or person should ever be harmed to create our products. This means that we are paying attention to the companies we partner with, the ingredients we use and where they come from, and the way our products are marketed.
We strive to make all our ingredients as organic as possible, however, we will always choose fair trade over organic, if we are unable to have both, and this is why our ingredients are about 90% organic. We believe that everyone involved in the making of our cosmetics is treated fairly and ethically.
One of our main beliefs at Elate is that your beauty ritual should be simple and sustainable. That is why we created the Capsule Beauty Kit, where you can customize your everyday favorite products into one kit. Similar to a capsule wardrobe, we encourage decluttering your beauty collection to create a more sustainable beauty ritual. The best part of a Capsule Beauty Kit is that it is compact enough that it is perfect for every day, on the go, and especially when you travel. The customizability of the kit allows you to conveniently switch out old products for brand new ones.
You can shop Elate online at www.elatecosmetics.ca which includes a list of over 90 retailers across North America that carry Elate Cosmetics.
Our favorite food to support good digestion is ginger.

Over at Inspired Living Nutrition we just love Elate Cosmetics. That’s why you’ll always be able to find them on our site under the “Vocal for Local – Worldwide” tab.
If you’re not sure how “clean” your makeup and beauty products are we recommend you check out the “Think Dirty” and the “Healthy Living” app created by the Environmental Working Group. Both apps allow you to take a snap shot of your products and then a list of all ingredients will be provided. Based upon those ingredients your product will either be deemed “clean” or “dirty”. This is important for everyone however it’s extremely important for those ladies who may be suffering from a hormone condition (i.e. endometriosis, etc.). A lot of unclean ingredients are known hormone disruptors!
